So after posting my favorite stamp site yesterday, I went on a little stamp binge, as stamps on eBay are relatively inexpensive, and buying several small cheap things is an instant boost to one’s feedback meter. In fact, by paying speedily on all five auctions yesterday, I was able to gain enough positive feedback this morning to remove my wrongly-left negative feedback (which I never blogged about, I think I was too busy bellowing out loud at the time) from my “recent feedback” list on my AboutMe page. This is the only negative I’ve ever gotten in almost five years of eBaying, and it was just left out of spite. Anyway, stamps are good, framable, and fun to look at.
Yesterday’s selections included a set of mineral stamps from Togo and a similar set from the lovely country of Afghanistan (yes, “terrorist stamps”…. Whatever.) I also found an interesting Apollo commemorative set from the country of Tokelau (?), a commemorative 40th anniversary of man’s first space flight (Yuri Gagarin) from Azerbaijan, and a funky space shuttle/Comet Halley stamp from Chile. Endless fun.
Buying stamps on eBay are great because I can bid on lots of things and feel like a high-roller, but only be out $20 total with shipping. ^_~
