Eh. I’ve been working all day. No no, not that kind of work, I mean, I’m sitting here in the office, working. Like, for pay. Like, I don’t have the day off, like the other 99% of Americans. ;_; TFL has exploded with apps, finished forms and 72 troubles all in one day, which makes me cry. Got new affiliates on Hoshi no Umi and Eternal Snow, which was good, and it’s been extremely quiet, probably because everyone thinks we’re closed. And there’s all sorts of errands I can’t do today, seeing as everyone else is closed.
Saturday morning we had our garage sale, I had a relapse of the flu Johan and I have been passing back and forth (thought it was sunburn, instead it was fever, hehe ^^;;; ) and we made a cool $100, which is far less than we could have perhaps made, but there were a million other sales that morning and we were more considered with moving goods than charging appropriately. Saturday afternoon we packed up and flaked out, since we both felt sick still, and we got a late lunch/early dinner of Crispi’s sandwiches and settled in for some movie watching. Sunday we went to Redding, got on-sale dishes at Macy’s to replace our old set, a set of 100% cotton sheets (essential for hot and humid climes, I’d never go back to a blend after last night’s sleep!), some very-on-sale CDs (any CD at Circuit City was $9.99!) and some more summer clothes at Old Navy. Oh yeah, and we braved the Walmart for about ten minutes, which was totally crazy at 11:30 am on a Sunday morning… so apparently there’s NO good time to go to the Redding Walmart. Just forget it. We got back home… played and played with our new acquisitions (dishes, sheets, clothes, The Police - Synchronicity, U2 - The Joshua Tree, Audio Adrenaline - Lift, Rush Hour 2 and The Never-Ending Story.) At six we went to have dinner at Johan’s house, and I visited with his mom for a while, which was laid-back and relaxing.
I’m big on a packing frenzy, because we’re getting rid of all the clothing that didn’t sell this Wednesday, so we have to sort out all our stuff one final time so we can *get*rid*of*it*. @_@;; And our workplace gave us as many large, double-reinforced boxes as we can carry away (Johan’s mom is coming to our aid with the pickup truck, yay!) so we have a lot of nice sturdy boxes to work with, and sacks upon sacks of peanuts. ^_~;; [stress] I have so much stuff to do tomorrow, it’s horrifying. Bleh.
