Picked up the special edition DVD release of Sleeping Beauty last night at Borders, hooray! Also grabbed Auntie Mame and An Ideal Husband, which I have been trying to find in stores for ages. I placed an order at the newly-revamped Sasuga Bookstore last week for Full Moon wo Sagashite tankoubons 3 & 4, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne tankoubons 1 & 2 (now I have the beginning and end, but no middle… just like Card Captor Sakura, sigh.) I keep looking for Fruits Basket DVD 4 in stores, but I never seem to see it, so I STILL haven’t seen the end. ;_; Oh well.
Yesterday Johan and I resolved to start a real diet (Atkins, or thereabouts) and exercise, starting today, so last night we went out for a last supper…. ^_~ We found a substitute worthy of Casa Ramos back home, and in some ways surpassing it, as La Hacienda has a live mariachi band on Sunday evenings, and they came to our table and serenaded us. *_* It was terribly fun, especially talking to the band leader in Spanish and understanding him somewhat. ^^; I understood what he said to me, not what they were singing. ^^;; We got some household items, and a scale at Walmart to shame ourselves with, then headed home to watch some tv and Sleeping Beauty. I was a little disappointed with the personality game on this DVD, the Beauty and the Beast one was pretty good, it wasn’t easy to slant your answers towards one character or another, but this one was easy to guess which answer went toward which Disney princess. :P Once Johan started teasing me about skewing the test I went ahead and really skewed it, so I could be Aurora, she being my favorite princess and all. ^^;; I think it’s meant for the age group that just wants to get their favorite character as their result.
Today I’m redoing some homework, heading off to Duke at 1 to do a lab, and then back here for class (supposedly -_-#) at 5. I’m also watching Hurricane Isabel with interest, as the path seems to go directly through Raleigh…. >.< We’ll see what happens, but it looks as if my birthday on Sunday will be a day of rain and hurricane-y goodness. :P

I tried Atkins, it was horrible. I think it’s not healthy (you completely cut certain things from your diet, even natural things), and people fall off of it pretty hard. I like the Schwarzbein Principle, which is another low-carb diet but more along the lines of eating properly balanced meals and cutting back on sugars and preservatives. As for me, I’m attempting to go off Coke again. Hopefully I’ll be able to manage it; I think it’s the major cause of my weight problems.

Yeah, soda and sugars have always been my downfall as well. I think I’ll get the one you mentioned, as soon as I/we get paid this week. ^^;; I’m kind of hoping I get a little monetary gift in the mail this week from my uncle, so I can go back to Borders with less guilt and more freedom to buy. ^_~
