I spent all day today writing my very first web design client contract. oO; Contracts have always terrified me, but once I started writing it out (working from an example one I had), I found the whole experience to be rather… relieving. Suddenly I understood what the different clauses meant, and realized they were… protecting me. This paragraph says I can’t be sued for this thing that should be the client’s responsibility anyway, that paragraph says I can’t be sued for this other thing… etc etc. Quite odd.
I manage to walk somewhere each day but that’s about all I do, lately… I can’t wait until this proposal (having slipped deadlines twice) is finally out of my hair, for good or bad, so I can go back to what has become a more comfortable routine of working on sites. Being a business owner is semi-overwhelming at times… mostly I just can’t wrap my head around the concept, having done this the “amateur” way for so long. Heck, I called my soon-to-be accountant/bookkeeper today to set up a meeting. oO;; Very… odd.
Not much to report, really, except that I’m feeling tired. Still recovering from the past few weeks, I suppose. More this weekend, I hope.
