Bits of things.

It’s sad, but we now have only eight planets in the Solar System. Also sad but for different reasons, the IAU defines the English language — indeed, the entirety of international scientific language and terminology — as consisting only of words found in the Microsoft Word spellchecker. Thumbs up, guys, pluton is only a term you run across in the most elementary of textbooks. It doesn’t get more basic than pluton… except maybe rock. Rock is more basic than pluton, but not by much. Have a friend come over and help you remove your head. Kthxbye.

Edit, the very next day: Sounds like not everyone in the IAU is happy with Pluto’s demotion — in fact, less than 5% of their membership got to vote. Maybe we’ll see a senshi reinstatement soon? XD

    What must this be doing to Setsuna’s self-esteem.

    I know. It’s criminally unfair — I mean, she stops time, and she has hands-down the best hair in the entire show. WTF?

    Haha, I was thinking the same thing. Ah, but we have the Asteroid Senshi right? Maybe she could hook up with them?

    Yeah, they can be the Dwarf Planet Senshi, all of them. LOL

    Haha. I can imagine a certain infamous Moonie writting 2000 word essays on why all fandom should now refer to them as “Dwarf Planet Senshi” and posting them on a certain forum. ;)

    What most annoys me about the latter part of your post is the way it seems to give Microsoft some say in how the world is run. Maybe it’s just because I think Microsoft is evil.

    Brad — Gee, wonder whom you’re referring to, LOL. [imagines this also]

    Beth — Yeah, I’m a MS-hater as well, and I agree. More than that, though, it’s scientists relying on basic tools instead of doing, say, ten seconds of online investigation @ Dictionary.com to see that, gee, “pluton” is a word and it’s already in use in another branch of science? T_T;

    Leanne — LOL, must be some kind of internet glitch. Nice to meet you, good luck with your blog!
