(Translation: uber catch-up post of DOOM.)

I’ve installed a MyBlogLog widget here, so if you have an account, please join the Hoshichan.com community! (And any others of mine that you care for, they’re all here.) I still feel I’ve only scratched the surface of the site, but I’m really liking it so far — it almost forces you to be more sociable, and visit other sites, and friend people back when they friend you, and respond to their messages. As a reward, you get publicized on every site you visit, when you visit it, if they have a widget like the one you see to your right. (Scroll.)

As far as Hoshichan.com goes, I’m planning to switch to a K2-based theme in the near future, and upgrading to WP 2.1 at that point. I’ve fixed the archives, yes, but I’m liking K2 more and more (and LOVING the theme I have at CommonSpace), especially how it handles archives and searching. I think, in the long run, I’ll like it better. Blix has been nice, but the stylesheets are driving me crazy.

For the first time in over a week, I have a day (mostly) at home today: so far I’ve sat around and done my morning thing (email, spam, fls, blog-related things), drank tea and listened to the wind. I’ve been working non-stop to catch up, the end of the month swamped me, and then recent illnesses (in my family, not me personally) put me more behind than I wish to be. This was a terrible time for A-chan’s vacation to fall, I’ll have little if any time to visit.

On the work front, I’m still working on what I’m working on, except that I’ve bought myself slightly more time to do it in. I still have four layouts to do this month, five if I can manage it. Four are paid, one is not. (SKnet is turning two, I’m not going to let that pass by without a revamp.)

While my fiction writing has ceased, for the moment, I’m finding that, albeit slowly, I’m developing a blogging routine that meshes with my work schedule. I think that once I have that down, posting more regularly everywhere, I’ll be able to tie the writing back in and be a More Balanced D-chan. I’m feeling extremely motivated about CommonSpace, and I have a lot of large content-y ideas that will be extremely time-consuming, and probably take months to get going properly. I’ll just have to work at it, a little at a time.
