When the brain goes home for the day

May 29th, 2007 · No Comments

It occurs to me that my brain has already taken off for the day — it’s a real hover-by-the-time-clock kind of worker. Dagnabit. I suppose I should sleep on this layout anyway. What can I do without my brain, hmm….

Spent the day fending off a peeved person (I share the sentiment, incidentally) and trying my best to avoid anyone else that might suck me into something that isn’t my deadline project. Lenneth reminds me how great I’ll feel when it’s done, and I agree; too bad I feel so lousy at the moment. In two days it’ll be “over” (translation, online. Certainly not over with.)

I bounce from pastime to pastime lately — last night it was beading (got some new Czech pressed glass from Mom, was sorting through the bags), tonight I feel like reading, or perhaps trying my hand at R-Type Final. Some nights I stare longingly at my many writing/research books and think about writing. (No actual writing is occurring, I must admit.)

On the work front, I’m booked until October, which puts a smile on my face and a song in my heart… it’s vacation time. :D
