29 years, and I haven’t known you nearly long enough

July 5th, 2007 · No Comments

Today is Johan’s 29th birthday, although he got his presents from me last week, and will have a party this weekend (and another get-together weeks down the road, sounds like. I’m stretching this day out as long as I can get away with, heh.) It’s also the second day of Mt. Shasta’s 4th of July celebration, so the crowds start just yards from my door and extend for blocks in all directions. Vendors, curly fries, you name it. I feel a little antisocial this morning, so I’m stealth-working, with the blinds down and the door intermittently locked.

The holiday has thrown off any pretense of a normal schedule for me. Monday we took the car to Medford for repairs, shopped all day (exhausting). Tuesday I was unproductive and headachy, due to a new glasses prescription. Yesterday we were mostly reclusive, although we made it to down to Mt. Shasta for a barbeque with my family. Today I’m trying to be more productive than Tuesday, but in truth, I wish I were home, writing and cleaning. (And perhaps sleeping; didn’t get much rest last night.)

Hosting progress is slow — moved my business site and Serenitatis, but nothing else, as the databasing + fanlistings + blogs + file-moving + email setup + ??? takes a lot of time. Added to this, $DOCUMENT_ROOT isn’t working properly so I’m having to re-script every file include on every website. T_T; This is going to take the entire month of hosting overlap, I can tell.

I love my blog, I miss blogging, but lately I’ve been far too scattered to write, even here. Hoping this mends itself soon….
