Saturday morning we had Lenneth over for Johan’s famous-to-us pancakes and bacon. Nursing cups of tea afterward, Johan announced that he felt like going somewhere, doing something. Lenneth and I had a brief telepathic exchange, disguised as devious glances, and I shouted calmly suggested, okay, so I shouted “MEDFORD!” in a shrill voice, what of it? It worked, we WENT.
We had a relaxed day in Ashland and Medford; found that our favorite boutique restocked their mysterious Japanese notebook selection, such that Lenneth finally has one too. Also wandered around the mall, Barnes & Noble twice, and the grocery store. Johan found us a new music haunt in Ashland, and we all walked out with Ultra-Lounge cds (mine was Space Capades.)
I drew a second map of Olivine on Friday, it’s incomplete, but is more map-like than the birds-eye I sketched out originally. A few things moved, started working out vegetation but had to redo some of it after a bit of research. I sat for a while Saturday evening in B&N, studying old maps in Maps: Finding Our Place in the World. Definitely need to pick it up for future reference.

Funny you should comment, as we all agreed that the “Atomic-Age Audities and Hi-Fi Hi-Jinks” slogan on the top sounds JUST like something you’d say.

I wish I had concocted those little Gems! And I wish there was more to read by the swank and mysterious RJ Smith.
