I picked up a research book from the library on Saturday, and Lenneth unfortunately remarked on the subject of the book; specifically, that she’d never quite figured out how it fit into my magic system. [DOOM] I sat and thought for a moment, reviewing the rudiments of magical law I established, and realized she was right. There’s no way it’d work. Absolutely no way. Oy.

So I revised my magic system to shift conflicts around. It wasn’t as painful as I feared; something I thought up earlier will work just as well, and, hey, the stuff I’m taking out can be used in a non-magical way elsewhere in the world. It’s cool, it’s cool.

Randomly, I officially have wayyy too large of a to-be-read fiction pile than is healthy. Just so you know. It’s all appealing, though, which is more than I could say for some of my TBR challenge books!
