Over two months ago I made some firm naming decisions for Olivine: ancient and modern names for the capital, the country and the world. I struggled for many months with the world-name; “Olivine” is what I call it, but the world itself I wanted to be something different, something unusual. (I admit there was a certain, significant amount of “and is that available as a .com?” to this process. Yes, I’m a dork.)

I finally hit upon one that sounded neat, was short, available for registration, and satisfied my “I can’t settle on anything” itch. The world is Chrysol, and the lovely glowing splash page is up for the intarweb to see. (The image above and the one on the splash are from an auction I found yesterday; the most beautiful, clear, grassy-green chip of peridot I have EVER seen.)
ETA: sorry about the broken image, see next post..? Actually, I was clicking “View post” to double-check it all when the next post happened. 9_9;

Thank you! Last layout done with my original laptop hard drive, apparently… glad I whipped it up last night, before Lappy got all crash-tastic on me. :P
