I desperately wanted to call this version Saturnine, but unfortunately I’m not “dark-featured” and I’m not really “mysterious”. “Moody” however, I’ve got covered… (though I’m working to grind off that particular facet of myself.) The masthead for version 20 is Saturn; the full image features an electrical storm photographed by Cassini, shown in exaggerated color.
I’ve been tangled up in real-life for the past few days (more so than usual); my dad had surgery and they keep bumping his release date back. Tomorrow, hopefully, he’ll come home. (I’m the driver. I’ve been at driving readiness for two days now, keys in hand.) I’m happy to help, but eager to get away from the hospital scene….
I was walking earlier and had a small (probably obvious) revelation: Life is hard. Not easy. If life is easy, you’re doing it wrong.
If life is easy, you’re not learning anything.
There are choices you can make, and they may make your life easier, but ultimately those are probably not the right choices. There’s a couple of things I could do that would, in the short term, make my life easier. Not easy all around, certainly some aspects would NOT be easy, but easiER. Is it the right choice? I think not. Right now, if things are easy, or I’m feeling comfortable, or content… I’m probably doing something wrong. Those are big red flashing warning signs to me right now. Life is hard, and it’s been hard for a while, and that tells me I’m headed in the right direction: uphill.

You said, “My blog has Saturn all over it,” and you were right. Those giant, icy stripes look good on everything! And I can’t tell you how relieved I am that I didn’t arrive here and find Saturn devouring his children!

I was going to comment something meaningful, but I think I’d better just wait until I catch you in chat, because it sort of falls in the realm of “revealing too much online”. ;)
Also, I wanted to comment on your earlier post but never had time: congrats on getting more work done on that story! *hug*

I’m always torn between posting here and posting on LJ, because there, a comment like that isn’t such a big deal, not many people can see, etc etc. Ah well, at least I got to see it in private! :D
