So I’m in the midst of rebuilding my life, my work and personal habits, and having a lot of life happen to me in the past few months — as I write this, a new mix cd I’m playing belts out “Change of Habit” by Elvis. Anyway, so there I am, hemmed in by life on all sides, and here this sits, barely worked on. The deadline is June 15th. This June, as in, eleven days from now.

For about the fifth time in two weeks, I wondered today if I shouldn’t just give up on the contest. It’s not the only or the last one I could submit to, it’s just that it’s so perfect. I talked it over with Lenneth and… I’m pressing on. Not giving up quite yet.
