Aftermath of Monday

July 9th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Yesterday got considerably worse as the day wore on; sore and stiff and exhausted. And freaked out and terrified of driving, ever ever again. I know I’ll have to drive again, and much sooner than never, but it’s a little hard to think about at present. The wreck was way scarier, well after the fact. (Thanks for all your comments, by the way.) I didn’t get much of anything done yesterday except some housework (while forcing myself to get up, move around and stretch periodically.)

Today was better, I’m not in any real pain, just a bit listless. Did some work, not as much as I probably should have done, but it was a start. Tomorrow will be better yet, I’m sure.

    So glad you are ok. We have lots of deer around here, and I just know that any day now…

    BTW i am afraid to drive. Went from hell on wheels to panic attack almost overnight. No particualar reason.

    Yeah, what’s funny to me (in hindsight) is that mostly the deer encounters are here at home in Lake Shastina — especially right now, it seems like there’s a mom and twin fauns around every corner. Yet where do I actually hit one? …On the freaking INTERSTATE, driving through Mt. Shasta. I’ve never even seen a deer in that area. Figures.

    Wow, that’s really scary. I hope you’re not too rattled. The wheel of my car fell off while I was driving (the whole wheel!) and I was afraid to drive for months afterward, and I never trusted that car again. It’s incredibly scary to have anything happen when you drive. ;_;
