The Danielle

Danielle is a female approaching 30 who has no idea why she’s writing this in third-person. She reads, she writes, she designs websites for a living (she’s for hire), she loves shoujo manga and anime and she runs several old fansites. She started The Anime Fanlistings Network in 2004, and retired as network owner in 2007.

The Interests

I love human spaceflight and space exploration, astronomy, geology, gemstones and minerals, art, architecture, music, U2, Sailor Moon, and almost any book you can chuck at me except literary fiction. (I have a lot of books.) I mostly read and write science fiction and fantasy, but am interested in all sorts of things (as evidenced by the list above.)

The Blog

This weblog was called Twinkling Radiance when I started it on August 15, 2001. Therein I displayed to the world how thoroughly overwhelmed I was, just three weeks away from my wedding day. At the time, Hoshichan.com was a personal site, this blog was a sub-directory, and Time Stranger Kyoko was still running, although on the verge of ending, in Ribon Magazine.

I started blogging on Blogger. I converted my entries to b2, Movable Type, and then WordPress in August 2005, and amazingly all have survived intact. Twinkling lived at /blog/ from 2001 on, until I finally moved it to the root directory in May 2006.

This blog is about my writing, the sites I run, things I like and my life (excluding only things that really must remain private, which are usually friends-locked on my LiveJournal.) I try to be entertaining, but in the end, this weblog is a personal journal, so please do not beat me to death with your opinions and/or beliefs. Thank you very much.
